All Peer Supporters are trained, certified, and eager to help others! Peer Supporters that lead groups for specific organizations on HeyPeers are called Group Leaders on the Organizations page.
Independent Peer Supporters are not connected with any Organization, and have their own Find A Peer Supporter page for you to review and connect with them. See How To Connect With An Independent Peer Supporter for more information.

You will be brought to the Organization Led Support Groups page, where the default view is the Subscribed tab which only shows organizations for which you have already subscribed. To see other organizations click on the All tab.
From the list of organizations, find the organization that offers the meeting led by the Group Leader you would like to connect with.
Click on the name of the organization or the More button. You will then be brought to that Organizations page on HeyPeers.
2. View Group Leaders

3. Review Comments and Feedback
When you scroll though the Group Leaders list, you will be able to see their picture, username and a brief greeting. Once you have found the Group Leader you would like to connect with, press on the hyperlinked number next to their star rating to review comments and feedback from others.
- Please note that while some organizations choose to display their leaders, they may not share the ratings or feedback for their leaders.
4. Review Group Leader Profile Information
In addition to reviewing comments and feedback from other members, if you click the More Info button, you will be able to read more about that leader including their own recovery story and motivation(s) to help.
5. Request to Message a Group Leader
When you click the Message button a pop-up box will appear which will allow you to send a direct message to the Group Leader.
After you click Send, you will be brought back to the Group Leaders page. To view the message you sent, click on the Chat tab.
6. Request to Connect with a Group Leader
If you click the Connect button, a request will be sent to the Group Leader that you would like to connect. After you click the connect button, you will be brought back to the Organization's home page and a brief pop up message on the top of your screen will say: "Contact request sent."
If there are other Group Leaders you would like to connect with, click on the Group Leaders tab, and repeat the steps.
Once an Organization Peer Supporter Group Leader has approved the connection request, you are able to start private chats with them.
