Donating a Voluntary Contribution to an Organization

Make a contribution to an organization

Some organizations on HeyPeers allow voluntary contributions to their organization. There are 3 ways you can donate to an organization that allows contributions.

1. Contributions at Registration
2. Contributions During Meeting
3. Contributions After Meeting

Contributions at Registration

When you click to Register for a meeting with an organization that allows voluntary contribution, you will be taken to the Meeting Donation page.

If you wish to donate a voluntary contribution to the organization, follow these three steps:

1. Please select the amount you would like donate by clicking on a suggested amount, or by writing in your own amount into the "Other Amount" box. 
2. Add a new card to make the donation with. If you already have a card added in your profile, there will be an option to select a checkbox for that card.
3. Click Donate. 

If you do not want to make a contribution, simply click the Skip and Register button on the bottom left-hand side of the screen. 

You can verify, add or delete cards attached to your profile at any time. Navigate to the Account - Settings to view the Payment Method tab. 

Contributions During Meeting

If you did not donate during your meeting registration but you would like to, some organizations allow members to make donations during the meeting. If your meeting allows donations during the meeting, you will see a Donate tab at the top of the meeting screen. 

When you click the Donate button, it will open the Meeting Donation page in a separate browser window from the meeting. Follow the same steps to make a donation:

1. Please select the amount you would like donate by clicking on a suggested amount, or by writing in your own amount into the "Other Amount" box. 
2. Add a new card to make the donation with. If you already have a card added in your profile, there will be an option to select a checkbox for that card.
3. Click Donate. 

After you have made the donation, you can close that browser window without affecting the meeting. 

Contributions After Meeting

If you did not donate during your meeting or at the time you registered, but you would like to, some organizations allow members to make donations after a meeting has ended.

After clicking the button to LEAVE your meeting, you will be brought to the Post-Meeting Survey page. After finishing the feedback page, you will see the option to donate if the organization allows donations after the meeting. 

On the Meeting Donation page, follow these three steps if you wish to donate a voluntary contribution to the organization:

1. Please select the amount you would like donate by clicking on a suggested amount, or by writing in your own amount into the "Other Amount" box. 
2. Add a new card to make the donation with. If you already have a card added in your profile, there will be an option to select a checkbox for that card.
3. Click Donate. 

If you do not want to make a contribution, simply click the Skip and Register button on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
