Monitoring the Application Status
Once the application has been submitted, the Peer Supporter Management Team (PSMT) will begin the review process. The peer supporter will be kept informed of the application status via emailed updates and messages on their home page dashboard on HeyPeers.
There are four application status: In Review, Revision Needed, Approved and Declined.
In Review
When the PSMT begins reviewing the application, they changes the status of the application to Review. This displays the following message on the home page dashboard: Your peer supporter application is under review. The applicant will also receive the status update via email.
Revision Needed
If the PSMT has determined that more information and/or documentation is required from the applicant before a final decision can be made, the application status will be changed to Revision Needed. The applicant will see the following message on the home page dashboard: Please provide more info for your peer supporter application, please review. The applicant will also receive the status update via email.
Clicking on the dashboard message (or clicking on the Peer Supporter Application link in the email) will bring the applicant to the Peer Supporter Application page. The Application Progress area will contain further instruction from the PSMT on what additional information is required.
Depending on what is required, the applicant can respond by:
- Using the comment field of the application progress area (as shown above)
- Editing the application data. The application can be accessed by clicking on the Edit Your Application button.
Declined
If the PSMT declines the application, the following message will be displayed on the home page dashboard: Your peer supporter application has been declined. The applicant will also receive a notification email.
Note on declined applications: An applicant may reapply but must wait for a period of two months before they are allowed to do so. This is also stated in the notification email sent to the applicant.
Approved
If the PSMT approves the applicant, the following message will be displayed on the home page dashboard: Your peer supporter application has been approved. The applicant will also receive the following welcome/onboarding email.

After clicking the Subscribe Now button, they will be brought to a payment page.

Peer Supporter Dashboard
Upon a successful initial payment, the peer supporter is given full access to the HeyPeers peer supporter functionality.
The peer supporter is then redirected to the Peer Supporter Dashboard page. This page will assist the peer supporter with setting up a bank account, called the Wallet. Please see Wallet Tab for more instructions on setting up the bank account.
They can also create meetings and services, and begin populating an availability calendar from their dashboard.
Review Public Profile
Once all of the above steps have been completed, we recommend that the Peer Supporter review their public profile by navigating to the Peer Supporters page. They can then use the search field to enter their name to find their profile.
If there are edits or entries they would like to update, we recommend reviewing instructions on how to edit and update the Peer Supporter Profile.
