Non-verbal tools are available to use in HeyPeers meetings!
This means when you attend a meeting that is hosted on HeyPeers (as opposed to Zoom), you can use the following tools. On the meeting registration, you can check to see if the meeting location is set to HeyPeers or Zoom by looking at the symbol next to the meeting name.
A waving hand symbol means the meeting will be held on HeyPeers.
A blue camera symbol means the meeting will be held on Zoom.
Raise Hand
You can "raise your hand" virtually which indicates to the host that you would like to speak.
The Raise button is located in the user tool bar, located at the bottom of the video panel.
When you click the Raise button, a hand icon is displayed on your video feed box and beside your name in the participant list.
If multiple people have raised their hands, the order in which hands were raised is displayed as a number beside the hand icon.
Once you have spoken, you or the host of the meeting can lower your hand.
To lower your hand, select the Lower button on the user tool bar, located at the bottom of the video panel.
Reaction Emojis
You can post a reaction icon in your video panel and beside your name in the participants panel.
To display a reaction emoji, you can click the React button on the user tool bar, located at the bottom of the video panel.
This brings up the list of available emojis.
Here is a list of the available emojis and their meaning.
When you select a reaction icon, it is displayed in the video panel as a floating icon (moving upward from the bottom of the screen). It is also displayed over your video feed for others to see for 10 seconds before it disappears.
